Chris Shaw

Chris joined Middlebury Securities LLC in 2009 as a key member of its Corporate Finance Team and focuses on assisting micro-cap issuers with their capital raise needs, including structuring, diligence, and placement. Since 2000, Chris has been a leader of both successful asset management and structured lending finance teams.

In 2000, Chris joined Promethean Asset Management and helped lead its Private Placement Group in becoming one of the most active in the industry, closing transactions totaling in excess of $500MM. In 2007, Viking Asset Management brought Chris on to launch a direct lending structured finance group and remained with the venture until he joined the Middlebury team in 2009.

Chris began his career in sales and marketing for a number of nationally recognized companies, including Fox Sports Net Cable Sales, National Cable Communications, TCI Media Services, and CB Commercial Real Estate.

Chris sourced, structured and co-managed the third largest and one of most lucrative direct investments in Promethean Capital Group’s history, Excite@Home, which was structured as a $100MM Senior Secured Convertible Note.

Chris graduated with a B.A. from Colgate University in 1983.
